How we decide what a pet is worth
A value list is only useful if you can trust how it's made. Here's ours, in full.
Base values
Every item has a single base value in game-specific units. We seed these from public community value lists, then maintain them with our own adjustments. The admin log records who changed what, when, and what the value was before.
Modifiers
Variants are computed from the base value with per-game multipliers — Neon and Mega Neon potions, Fly/Ride attributes in Adopt Me, Chromas in MM2, Permanent fruits in Blox Fruits. When a specific variant's market clearly detaches from the formula (it happens with hyped megas), we override that variant directly.
Trends and volatility
Every accepted value change writes a history row, and a daily snapshot closes each day. From that series we compute:
- 7-day and 30-day trend — plain percentage change, shown as arrows.
- Volatility — the standard deviation of daily moves over 30 days, bucketed into Low / Medium / High per game.
A high-value item with High volatility is a speculation, not a store of value. The rating exists so you can tell the difference before you trade your whole inventory into it.
The feedback loop
Every shared trade has a W/F/L poll. When the community verdict strongly contradicts what our numbers say, the trade is flagged and a human reviews the items involved. Votes don't move values automatically — they move our attention.
